Coronavirus laundry tips from the Crease Connoisseur – Diane Brassington

With coronavirus germs likely to stay on clothing, towels and bed linen for a considerable time, Crease Connoisseur and Stoke Friday advocate Diane Brassington offers a few laundry tips.

  1. Wash your hands after handling dirty laundry
  2. Wash your clothes more regularly, especially if you have been in a public area wearing them
  3. All underwear, towels and household linen should be washed at 60C (140F) or at 40C (104F) with a bleach based laundry product to prevent germs from spreading
  4. Don’t leave laundry in the washing machine – any remaining germs can multiply rapidly
